Our Response to the HS2 Consultation

THIS COMPLETES STAGE ONE OF THE HS2 HISTORIC IMPACT ASSESSMENT PROJECT

The Secretary of State for Transport set out a six-month ‘consultation period’ for the submission of public responses to the HS2 high-speed rail link proposals. The deadline for responses was 29 July 2011. A week before the deadline, the following letter was sent on behalf of the society:

UPDATE - Spring 2012

The society received no direct response to this submission.
Despite the specific request that the society be included in preparatory work for the HS2 Environmental Assessment Analysis, BAS was not included in the list of official 'Consultees' and was initially excluded from the ‘Community Forums’ set up for this purpose. This was eventuall;y rectified after the society lodged a further request to be included in this critical stage.
