Buckinghamshire Archaeological Society has recently set up a historic buildings' group, whose members will together use their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to record historic buildings across the county. The aim of the group is: to promote the recording and preservation of historic buildings in Buckinghamshire and to make the findings publicly available. Anyone with a passion for historic buildings is welcome to join the group; prior knowledge and experience are by no means essential! There are plenty of opportunities to take part in a range of projects, involving survey work or historical research. The group has started work on a series of recording and research projects, and meets regularly, with project oriented sessions, talks and teaching workshops. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact
the group convener, Please note that for insurance purposes all buildings group members must join the Buckinghamshire Archaeological Society. There is no separate subscription for the buildings group but a small meeting charge will be made to cover room hire and refreshments.
