  • Who we are:
  • We maintain the county's Historic Environment Record (HER), which records and maps all historic and archaeologically significant sites and finds across Buckinghamshire. Our team also provides specialist planning and management advice on archaeology and heritage.
  • Our activities:
  • Staff are currently mostly working from home, with limited access to our collections, but are able to provide a near-normal service. The HER is available online at Buckinghamshire's Heritage Portal.
  • Enquiries:
  • We are at Buckinghamshire Council Archaeology Service, Planning and Environment, Walton Street Offices, Aylesbury, HP20 1UY – but please contact us initially by phone, email or our website.
